Village Dive Club Winter Trip: Saba, March 3-10, 1012

Andy Richards has put together a winter Caribbean dive trip to Saba in the Netherland Antilles. So far it is Andy Richards, Chun Wang and Bruce Monroe who are going. Below are the details. Contact Andy at arichardsny@yahoo.com if you are interested in joining them.

For arrival on Saba Saturday, March 3, departure from Saba Saturday, March 10.

Diving package: 7 nights at El Momo, plus 10 dives (plus 11th dive if we have a group of at least 4 divers): $878 per diver, $338 for non-diver
Free WiFi
Does not include breakfast. Breakfast is $9; boxed lunch is $9.50
Night dives Sun, Tues & Thurs for 4 divers min. $75 pp including taxi
Taxis to hotel, airport and dive shop: All included
Food: Figure $9 breakfast, $10 lunch and $25 dinner = $50-60/day. About a dozen restaurants on the island.

Travel from St Maarten to Saba - 3 options:
Winair: To Saba: 7:00, 10:10, 14:10 and 17:00; cost $47, $69 and $75, depending on availability.
To St Maarten: 7:30, 10:35, 14:35, 17:30, same prices
Dawn II (ferry): Departs St Maarten 4:45 pm Tues, Thurs and Saturday; departs Saba 7:00 a.m. Round trip: $90 plus $10 per extra bag plus $7 St Maarten port tax, $5 Saba port tax
Edge Ferry: Departs St Maarten Wednesday through Sunday 9:00 a.m.; departs Saba 3:30 p.m. (too late to make same day plane connection) ; round trip $100 plus $7 St Maarten port tax, $5 Saba port tax

Daily air travel to and from St. Maarten is offered by American, Delta, Continental, US Airways, United, Spirit, Jet Blue, Air France, and KLM. You can “thru ticket” on USAir.
AA fare: can be as low as $475, depending on travel time
